BISHOP BRENDA K. PERRY
Bishop Brenda K. Perry is a native of Benton Harbor, Michigan. Her involvement in the work of our Lord began over forty years ago in the field of evangelism. She acknowledged her call into the ministry in 1984. She became the senior pastor of New Life Temple Church on October 15, 1998, now serving in her 19th year.
Bishop Perry’s influence has empowered her to mentor many ministers. As a result, other churches have been established. Her ministry has emphasized an uncompromising commitment to practical, biblical truth and its applications. Her sincere desire and goal is for the saints of God to function in their potential by finding their rightful place in the body of Christ.
Bishop Perry is a leader beyond her own church. She is committed to community outreach, with a focus on services and support for the youth and seniors. Under the umbrella of New Life Temple Church, as an extended arm in the community, New Life Enrichment Center was established, which provides services to the seniors in the community. She serves as the C.E.O.
She stands not only with church members but with people in exceptional times of crises. It has been said, “Bishop Perry is unselfish with her time and personal resources, and is available and compassionate to all people. She is indeed a shepherd at heart to all.”
Bishop Perry has traveled extensively throughout America, Korea, South Africa, Kenya, and Zimbabwe, and has established herself as a dynamic speaker, preacher, singer, and administrator.
She oversees and networks with churches in Kenya and South Africa. Yet, in all of her traveling, these blessings have not been a deterrent from her primary goals of being a faithful Shepherd, and a committed and joyful Christian.
Bishop Perry completed her degree at the College of Biblical Studies in Christian Leadership. She is the founder and president of the "Handmaidens of the Lord" ministry. She is the proud parent of two daughters, Melinda and Melissa, and the grandparent of Naomi and Marcos.
